The Lending Program at Synth Library Portland is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-run effort to get synthesizers and other electronic music gear into the hands of the Portland community. All gear has been generously donated by synth manufacturers and individuals who want to open up avenues for sonic exploration and expression. Lost or damaged gear cannot be readily replaced or repaired and it means that the entire community loses out on the opportunity for low-cost access to gear. Please take good care of the items we lend you so that we can continue to provide this community service for many years to come.
In order to check gear out, you agree to:
1. Maintain an active membership through Synth Library Portland's WithFriends program.
2. Attend an orientation before reserving your first items.
3. Not have open containers of liquid or food anywhere near the gear.
4. Only use the power supplies provided with the gear.
5. Be cautious and careful whenever using the gear. We do sanitize everything when returned but washing your hands prior to using the gear helps us maintain gear availability. Sticky synths are not fun for others to play or clean.
6. Immediately contact info@synthlibraryportland.com in the event of any damages or loss of gear to discuss a solution.
7. Return gear by the due date in your email and contact us at info@synthlibraryportland.com if you are unable to drop the gear off at the designated times/location.
